Basic Information

Kerberos is the authentication service for Windows Active Directory. It's primary used for establishing the identity of users by validating their secret passwords. This process ensures that each user's identity is confirmed before they can access or interact with network resources. Kerberos does not extend this functionality to evaluate or enforce the permissions of a user over certain resources or services.
